Microsoft Windows Active Directory Architect Company: Horizon River Technologies Experience: 10-15 years Salary: DOE Responsibilities: Produce enterprise-level architecture and designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible Develop system monitoring strategy, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs Install, configure and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration and appropriate troubleshooting steps Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation Takie technical ownership of the complex, multi-domain Microsoft Active Directory environment Lead an Active Directory re-architecture project to consolidate legacy domains Use Microsoft SCCM and WSUS for patching, deployment and ensuring security compliance Create PowerShell scripts/cmdlets Assist in forecasting capacity needs for server hardware, storage and other infrastructure components Proactively monitor the health and performance of systems and implementing changes as needed Routinely conduct audits to ensure compliance and handling reports for upper management Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment as it relates to Active Directory Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting. Provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems Serve as the first line of escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support Qualifications Basic Qualifications: B.S. degree in a computer science, information technology, computer related discipline 10 + years of IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure environment Significant experience designing, configuring, and migrating on-premise servers to Microsoft Azure AD Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience leading large enterprise directory services (Active Directory) acquisition and integration projects Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services and Group Policies Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPO's Expert knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2008-2016, Windows Server 2008-2016 Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS in a Windows 2008-2016 Server landscape Must have deep and thorough understanding of monitoring best practices, preferably with Microsoft System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) understanding and experience Experience developing and executing migrations from cloud and other third party directory services to on premises directories Experience developing and executing migrations to cloud directory services from on premises directories Experience working with developers and leading the effort to document directory services application dependencies and integration points. Related experience leading the migration effort from legacy directories to a consolidated global directory Experience writing complex PowerShell scripts to support loading Active Directory accounts. Related experience using ADMT to migrate accounts and/or SID history Experience planning multi-forest trust relationships and integrating with complex DNS namespaces Project based experience extending Active Directory to cloud services such as AWS and Azure Expert level knowledge of DNS Experience supporting both internal (Active Directory) and externally hosted DNS platforms Proven experience managing complex DNS infrastructures with multiple domains, sites and egress points Expert knowledge of Active Directory integrated DNS and ability to support and configure DNS scavenging in a multi-forest Active Directory with and without trust relationships Expert level knowledge of Active Directory Sites and Services in a complex network with hundreds of sites with varying levels of connectivity Active Directory Federation Services Design, Implementation and Support Microsoft PKI Experience designing and supporting Microsoft PKI in a complex, multi-forest/domain environment. Related experience integrating and deploying PKI to acquired organizations Demonstrated experience managing, monitoring and trouble-shooting complex PKI issues Expertise with network equipment (Cisco preferred), protocols and trouble-shooting Demonstrated experience working with complex TCP/IP networks Ability to independently perform analysis of systems and applications using tools such as Microsoft Message Analyzer, WireShark and Fiddler Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows: Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, HyperV) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies Develops, documents and enforces the standards, security procedures and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory and related systems CERTIFICATIONS ARE HIGHLY PREFERRED: Microsoft Certifications Expertise in Clustered, High Availability Disaster Recover Advanced multi-domain AD Administration, Hyper-V, Advanced PowerShell (PSH) Scripting Cisco UCS Blade Server technology (B&C Series) / VCE / Vblock and VMware ITIL V3
